Rally Planned to Support Gay Georgia Teen

The Macon chapter of Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays will be holding a "Rally for Equality" in support of gay teen Derrick Martin. The Bleckley County High School is allowing Martin to attend prom with his boyfriend, but many in the community are outraged, and even his own parents have kicked him out of their home.

The rally will show support for gay teens like Martin and his boyfriend, and praise the school for making the right decision while also calling out those who seek to overturn that decision.

“Rally for Equality” at 6 p.m. Friday April 9th at City Hall near Rosa Parks Square.

Wonderful! Way to go PFLAG...exactly what your major task is. Let gays teens know they will always have a welcome 'family.'

It sickens me that his parents would kick him out of his home. They brought him into this world and just because he is being true to himself they shun him. How incredibly sad T-T
