Standing on the Side of Love

Standing on the Side of Love is a new campaign by the Unitarian Universalist Church which respects the dignity and self worth of every human being regardless of their creed. The campaign aims to lift religious voices in the public square to proclaim love and inclusion of all of God's children.

Check out the UU website to learn more, receive updates and participate in this progressive religious campaign for inclusion and human dignity.

it's a couple of years old, actually. Glad that there is a renewed energy behind it.

Maybe they had something similar? Because, the video was just uploaded and Rev. Morales says "he is glad they are unfolding this initiative"

That is wonderful! As many folks as can get behind love, inclusion and equality are wonderful!

I've been going to a local UU chapel on Sundays. It's the Bell St. Chapel in Providence, RI.

The decor is all nature scenes, lots of mountains but no saints, no images of gods, etc. I remember the place from when I was 4 or 5 years old since they did a nursery school and I attended it thanks to my mother.

I love that the service is non referential to any god, christ, et al. I love that it's all about fellowship and social justice. And they're very supportive of gay rights. It doesn't surprise me that the national group comes out in support of equality too.

The parting circle is nice too. Everybody joins hands and sings "Carry the flame of peace and love until we meet again."
