New York Assembly to Vote on Marriage Equality Tomorrow!

The New York Assembly will deliberate and vote on A7732 the marriage equality bill. The bill has passed in previous sessions and is expected to easily pass through again this year, with even more votes in the affirmative.

The state senate is where the bill is uncertain, democrats hold an ever slight majority but four democrats will oppose the measure and no republicans have stepped up to the plate in support.

We must take one step at a time, for now please contact your assemblymembers and urge them to vote in favor of marriage equality.

I hope it passes. With SO.many family members in the state, shouldn't have a problem. Let's not take our rights for granted-let's watch who is with us and against us. Equality for ALL.

One step at a time guys. One state at a time.

I certainly hope that it does pass and if California ( a country unto itself) changes Prop. 8 it will put enormous pressure on Congress to get rid of DADT and Doma and perhaps the impetus will be to grant equality for all. It is a great leap foreward to have Vt , ME, Ct, Ma and Ia offer equal protection but the big prizes are NY and Ca to really make a difference. Pray for "change" whether it be to your personal god, a golden calf or Obama! Thanks.
