A Comprehensive LGBT Guide for Elementary Schools

Welcoming Schools is a new, comprehensive guide for administrators, educators, parents and guardians who want to strengthen their schools’ approach to family diversity, gender stereotyping and bullying.

Welcoming Schools is specifically designed for use in K-5 learning environments and is inclusive of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender families and individuals in the broader context of diversity.

Damn, too bad I'm done tutoring for the spring, that'd be awesome to *ahem* sneak in as reading material since I tutor kids in reading about that age! Really I wish this was mandatory.

You're right, it should be mandatory; however, not a good idea to *ahem*...sneak in as a reading. We're better than "they" are. We will do things legally & respectfully, showing them that we are better than they are. The world will "get there"....eventually....we've made it this far, we'll make it until then ( : I do understand your frustration, I feel it too, and so do my 2 school age children.....we'll make it!
