Eve of Justice: Lighting the Way for the Supreme Court on March 4th

On the eve of March 4th the night before the California Supreme Court will hear oral arguments to overturn proposition 8 which eliminated same-sex marriage, thousands of people in over 30 cities across the nation will gather in solidarity of bringing back civil rights to the state of California.

Interesting choice of words. Just as the Attorney General of California did, in changing the wording for proposition 8. You cannot take something away that you were never intended to have! Its a very simple concept. Is marching really necessary, this is the same court with the same activist judges who overturned prop 22. Do you really think you will not get your way? Of course you will, these are far left judges who are pushing a social agenda, not interpreting the Constitution, you will get your way!

Damn these Anonymouses are everywhere! So what you want folks to do is just shut up and wait for change to come? Yeah, being complacent when you have a basic right taken away really works. Okay, I think you need to go home and rethink your position and come back when you're ready to stand up. I mean really.

Also, you kinda sound like a concern troll. A really concerned one. It's okay Anonymous.

Anon last I checked the constitution said we were all equal and something about liberty, justice, and the pursuit of happiness? maybe, i was day dreaming.

It is not an equality issue, if that is your argument it is pathetic. Than I presume that with your logic, a state supreme court will be hearing cases for 12 year olds who want to get married. There case will sound something like this "last i checked the constitution said we were all equal and something about liberty, justice and the pursuit of happiness" Sounds ridiculous does it not. Not everyone has the right to marry especially when that right tramples many other rights such as religions refusing to marry you, adoptions from a religions agency. Your desires do not trump the rights of others, or at least they should not! Funny how do not comment to any of the points in my post accept that you have the right, that seems to be your only argument and it is a terribly weak one!

anon, make a username. your argument is weak, gay and lesbian adults are consenting tax-paying citizens. your slippery slope argument will fail, because it is plain old silly and non-logical.

I do have a username and a blog and since that has info about my family, I simply will not use it. My argument is hardly weak as is evidenced by the fact that only 2 states allow gays to marry. If anything that would make your argument weak and mine strong! Being a tax paying citizen does not mean you have free roam to change thousands of years of history and rewrite a constitution. Good try though!

You're so concerned Anony. Don't worry, just leave the rewriting of the constitution to us and the other people in the world that have good sense. It's okay, I promise.

You want to hear a good joke though? So this person comes onto a gay rights blog and insists we shouldn't fight for gay rights...bwaaahahahahaaaa!

Okay I'm sorry, I'll stop feeding the troll.
