Florida's "Marriage Protection" Amendment Hurts Straight Families Too

Florida's prop 2 the "Marriage Protection" amendment penalizes gay couples, straight couples, and single parents who are not legally married. The video below is a new commercial airing in Florida, creating awareness about the unfair effort to pass proposition 2.

You know, thinking about Prop 8 in California and Prop 2 in Florida and all the other gay marriage bans/"marriage protection" amendments floating around now, I never thought of the hurting more than just gay couples before. Interesting! Thanks for posting that commercial clip.

I hope people do realize that this is not just a gay issue but a matter of fairness for many families.

I'm so sorry that amendment 2 went through. I am not gay, I am not married, I am understanding of the fact that you deserve what I may have. It hurts me tremendously to know that people would deny you marriage. I am so sorry but I still hope for America to grow to offer all people what they'r entitled to.

Thanks for your support anonymous, we need straight allies like you to help us in our battle for equal rights. One day we will look back and realize this debate was ridiculous and equal rights will be a matter of fact.
